Tigran Hamasyan Trio - Mockroot
Yesterday watched the trio for the first time in the Istanbul jazz fest, been a fan since 2011’s Ep No.1. Tigran is a prodigy of the highest order. On par with the best of the best both as a composer and performer in today’s jazz + avantgarde music. Also in love with the drummer Arthur Hnatek . 24 year old swiss drummer with 4 polyrhythmic Africans living inside. Hands down best album of the year, now I can say it’s also a beauty to watch live. Don’t sleep on the album, and make some effort to catch them live, you’ll thank me later.
