Ilhan Mimaroglu - Prelude No. 8 (To the Memory of Edgard Varèse)
One of the most visionary composers of the 20th century, and definitely the grumpiest, Ilhan Mimaroglu, who alongide his mentors Ussachevsky and Varèse, and contemporaries from the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center has pioneered in the sixties, the now-ubiquitous “electronic music”, has passed away.
- Where do you see electronic music in 50 years time?
- Having no oracular pretensions, I do not try to see the future of electronic music.
