Generally I’m bombarded by music coming via my daily feed, that it generally takes an album cycle for me to remember an artist/band. Finland’s Black Motor sent me to Google more than a few times since 2008’s fantastic Vaarat Vastukset to check if they have something new lined up. Thanks to Kauriala Society, they have a new CD called Hoojaa, and it’s as good as I thought it would be. Finnish free jazz, secret/sacred rites of ascension to a strange cosmic order.
