Probably taking name from this kids book by William Steig, Vancouver’s Brave Irene is the brainchild of indie underground Rose Melberg and four best friends. Some of the best twee / power pop I’ve listened to in ages with great songwriting albeit sounding a little childish? . Out on Slumberland, one of my favourites alongside HoZac for everything lo-fi & garagey.
