Jamie Saft - New Zion
One of our favourite characters from downtown NYC, Jamie Saft released ‘Borscht Belt Studies’ on Tzadik this summer. The closing track 'New Zion’ features Saft’s signature Jewish scale pianowork rummaging on top of a relentless reggae bass by Metheny/Mehldau compatriot Larry Grenadier.
