Amen Dunes, the solo project of Damon McMahon, began with recordings made in the fall of 2006 in upstate New York. Through Donkey Jaw is his first proper recordings in almost five years. Couldn’t get into the rest of the album yet, but the opener Baba Yaga is a ritualistic bluesy folk song, that’s too good to be missed.
