Moteer is a small electronica label from UK artists The Remote Viewer (see Moteer=Remote). I've heard their name before but didn't have the means to check any of their artists. Now that Boomkat has put their catalogue online as MP3s we can all enjoy. So today's feature is the breathtaking fragile clicks & cuts stuff of Japanese Yasuhiko Fukuzono aka Aus with his debut Moteer CD Curveland. This reminded me of 2000's Mille Plateaux or the tender glitchy IDM of Opiate with an added bonus of sweet vocals, so it's hard to say the aura created is original, but don't think I feature Aus here for nostalgic purposes, because that would be underrating this beautiful album. What can I say? Aus' soft vocals and calm pads have pacified my brain, and now I can't think of anything but fleece and the color white. Curveland's soft & reverby rhodes chords float on top of percussive elements that are there without a noticable drive, as if the percussion is nothing more than acupuncture to my highly sedated brain. See, even my words are turning into poetry this morning..
