Mumford & Sons, been hearing about them for some time, was kind of guessing that they were the annual Fleeting Foxes. So their new video Winter Winds is not surprising in that sense, but It is totally repellant with massive amounts of rural beard-o-cliche.

Brakes
When Brakes’ third album Touchdown fell on my lap, I had no previous idea about Brakes’ past glories and their first two albums. Here’s a quick recap, band members have previously played in Electric Soft Parade, British Sea Power and The Pipettes and their debut album in 2005 was released by Rough Trade to critical acclaim.

15 Battles – Mirrored (Warp Records) : Everybody’s been talking about “Mirrored” this year, and they kind of deserve it for getting their oddtimed dissonant music to find strange acclaim from mainstream circles as well as mathheads.

I’m flat out sure that Field Music will be one of the bands you’ll be hearing a lot in 2007. In fact it’s become quite the sensation till now as I’m definitely not the first to feature them.
