New promo in our mailbox from the 5 piece urban soul & triphop band Si*Sé from NYC. The single from their upcoming Gold EP (out tomorrow) “This Love” gets the remix treatment from Hird.

Finnish electronic music composer Lauri Saine makes genrebending electronic music without falling into the cheesy electronic tapestry category that so many trip-hop artists often do.

Iran born Londoner Leila Arab released her third album Blood, Looms and Blooms on Warp a few months ago. Ending an 8 year drought her third albums sees usual suspects Roya Arab and Luca Santucci lend her vocal talents, as well as guests Terry Hall and Martina Topley Bird.

Private School is not an electronica project but it’s a lo-fi hiphop trio with similar Powershovel aesthetic. Touches of 90’s triphop, raw and sparse beats, simple synth melodies and rapping on top!
