Own Records from Luxembourg (whom we mentioned here before), home to acts like Bexar Bexar, Uzi & Ari and Gregor Samsa humbled us with an elegantly designed double CD of a new project by Portland based Aaron Gerber.

German Stephan Mathieu and English Janek Schaefer are two big names from the “academic” sound composing scene. Their latest collaboration “Hidden Name” is an exceptional journey through ambient textures and field recordings.

Continuing the sound that I began with today here’s Lokai, the Austrian duo from Mosz records. I tried to remember where I heard Mosz before and realized my fellow Error101 reviewed Gustav a few weeks ago. Lokai is formed by label boss Stefan Németh and guitarist Florian Kmet. Like Pekler’s music there are tense and eerie textures floating in time with occasional guitar picks.
