soundscapes
Moon Wiring Club
Dwelling on a similar aesthetic as his colleagues on Ghost Box, Ian Hodgson has produced an abundance of strange tales and eerie soundscapes on his two efforts both mystically featuring 22 tracks and wonderful artwork.
From an Ancient Star
Ghost Box is one of the most cherished labels here at undomondo thanks to their nostalgic soundscapes and the hauntology inspired conceptualism. Their new release by Belbury Poly is out and we’ve been listening to it since a few days.
The Advisory Circle
We’re huge fans of Ghost Box and the nostalgic aesthetic of their output which brings libraries, victorian buildings, steampunk and old hauntologic memories to mind.
Phalangius
From Cambridge comes the mysterious CDR from Phalangius with a bag of synth tunes made solely on the Roland Juno 6. I sense that this is a fake identity though, as did clone.nl, which think that he’s simply Legowelt.
March netlabel releases
I’ve been neglecting the netlabel scene for some time and release news have been filling my mailbox. I don’t think I’ll be able to check most out, but I never fail to check my fave netlabel WM Recordings!. Here’s some newcomers from WM and a few other pointers.
Myspace frenzy!
Different genres and quality, this month’s worthy finds on myspace.
* Oturma Grubu : Minimal electronic pop with postrock influences from Ankara/Turkey.
* 1 Abaco Autor Ricar : Well, even the name of this guy is strange. An interesting hybrid music, 90’s rave meets new age meets Spanish romanticism and guitar solos? You name it!
* Seige : Dope soulful hiphop beats.
Halloween post
Today’s post is a more in depth review of Oddio Overplay’s new Halloween post, that’s been tipped by Oddio themselves in the comments of the previous compilation, I listened through all of the stuff and picked up my favourites, if you’re interested in bizarre music, eerie soundscapes, or offkilter rock, with funny vocal snippets, laughters and ghouls, I suggest you download the whole pack here.

* Krzysztof Komeda – Astigmatic (Power Bros Records 1998 CD reissue) on MoogPower for some tasty Polish jazz.
* Eddie and the Monsters – Whatever happened to Eddie? (1983) on Scar Stuff again.
