Rachael Dadd’s Table is the second video today that first went to our video tumblr, but then got on the main site, because it’s a masterpiece and we’d be terribly sorry if it was lost in the avalanche that is the net.

Barzin : It’s Come To This

Canadian songwriter Barzin crafts melancholic folk songs for the suicide lane. Today though I received an email from Bad Panda announcing that they have gotten a previously unreleased Barzin song and released it with CC license, now I’m sitting in my depression cardigan, drinking red wine and contemplating why it has come to this…

Eagles of Bill Callahan

The Essential albums of 2009 are starting to appear, and one of the first (together with the Mulatu & Heliocentrics) that get the undomondo seal is American singer-songwriter Bill Callahan’s sophomore on Drag City. Part 5 : 15 – 10

15 Battles – Mirrored (Warp Records) : Everybody’s been talking about “Mirrored” this year, and they kind of deserve it for getting their oddtimed dissonant music to find strange acclaim from mainstream circles as well as mathheads.
14 Deejay OM – Reheated Naan and Curry (Galapagos4) : A fine hybrid of Indian samples mixed with beats. Somehow liked it much more than Madlib’s take. Past

Luke Temple - Snowbeast

Luke Temple – Snowbeast

Been listening to Mill Pond’s Luke Temple with his second full length called “Snowbeast” for some time and Brooklyn based guitar/banjoist & songwriter straight away charmed me with his frail falsetto voice and exceptionally versatile songwriting I should say. Temple’s indie pop/folk has many elements of psychedelia and prog which moves “Snowbeast” apart from all the American guitar folk artists.

Xavier Rudd

Category :

After a two year silence Australian singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd has issued a new album called “White Moth” on Salt-X Records, his 4th. 1978 born multi-instrumentalist is known for his easy going beach/surf sound that’d be very suitable for the hipster and eco-concious multiculturalists from say Canada & Australia and Roots folk festivals.
