New Myspace folks!
Elizabeth Sakura’s guitar based indie pop (downer?) is impressive, the first two songs kinda got stuck in my head, and instinctively I knew the music has some nice potential and frankness. BTW She’s from NY, and she seems to be interested in misery ?

Mcluskyism
Pitchfork’s Matt Le May called them “asshole indie rock“– direct, obnoxious, and unapologetic, and they already have a t-shirt called “Mclusky, shit rock”. This Welsh trio has a bit of Shellac and Fugazi in it, and I don’t know why but a little bit of Suicidal Tendencies and perhaps Nirvana? (or is that Steve Albini?).
Label roundup Part 3 : If Society
Ending our 3 part label review is the Finnish indie / punk label If Society.

Silver Jews
I don’t know why I like southern rock/country. I’ve never been to the US, and I don’t have anything common with the southern uhh “ideals”, but I can’t stop my feet when I listen to the banjo or the fiddle!. Can I be saved?
Anyways Mr. David Berman here is an indie rock icon who has [...]
The joggers - Ziggurat Traffic
Yay for these Portland boys. Although the 2005 album “With a Cape and a Cane” is generally nice, it makes a peak right with this number. Perhaps the song seems too overpowering compared to the rest of the album and if it was a more straightforward indie piece and if it had a voice it [...]
Kammerflimmer Kollektief Remixes // Cass Mc Combs
Todays update features two different vibes. Nôze’s remix is from a new release on Staubgold. Die Kollektief is remixed on this EP by Jan Jelinek, David Matt and Aoki Takamasa. Noze’s remix begins as a mellow 4/4 track with spectacular brasswork from the original on top of minimal beats and suddenly changes into a dancefloor [...]
