Sister labels Tirk & Nang both sent us promos last month. Tirk No. 55 is by Milano discoheads The Love Supreme. Nang 07 is a remix package to Tirk’s best download seller in 2009, by Siberian discobears Acos Coolkas.

This nugget by one half of Partial Arts Al Usher has been gracing our sound systems for a good two months, but I was looking to couple it with another track or a piece of news. I found the news I was looking for a few days ago, there’s a new bunch of remixes from Gatto Fritto, Mark Seven and Prins Thomas.

Making covers of well known stuff are almost always a good catch. However getting to do a cover album of the greatest electronic anthems ever straight on is a mammoth task. Simply for the fact that these are really the biggest electronic anthems ever and you don’t have the chance to go wrong.

I’ve literally been a Cypress Hill fan back in the day and it won’t be an exaggeration if I say that I can still successfully lip-sync to the first 3 albums. Although “Insane in the Brain” wasn’t the high mark for me (The first and the third albums are much better) I’ve regained interest in the song, when one of my close friends from Istanbul did a mashup of Cypress Hill and Mogollar.

After the Larry Heard post, it’s about time I get a few selected house tracks off my “feature it” directory. The Haaksman & Haaksman remix of Stereotyp’s Keepin’ Me is as massive as it gets, with a muted guitar at the back, female vocals and a funky steppa rhythms.
