Madvillain
Be it a geniunely new release or a “remix”, it’s always good news whenever there’s a new Madlib release. The prolific beatmaker who never leaves his studio has just released a rework of his collaboration with the secretive no-chorus rapper MF Doom.
Dirty Diggers
I’m not really knowledgeable about nuschool UK hiphop (or oldschool for that matter) but I’ve listened to a few artists like Braintax and I know that UK hiphop is down to earth and fun unlike the USA gangsta rap which only talks about killing people and showing the world how rich and cool they are.
Kode 9 & The Spaceape
From now on I think all the bling MC’s and wannabe’s should open up their ears and listen to The Spaceape. As he’s one of the most powerful MCs I’ve heard for some time. His bass voice and strange Jamaican accent and phrasing is so ominious and domineering, he gives me the creeps like the guy in Saw.
Slope ft. Capital A – Komputa Groove
Well if the Recloose track wasn’t enough for you, here’s another brilliant song, this time from Sonar Kollektiv’s 2-piece Slope. Very innovative song, you would immediately feel these boys have established their own style. Cheerful mood again, in 2/4 shuffle beat with filtered keys, and pseudo-strings.
