Kinkajou
Have you heard the news that Les Baxter is solely responsible for the soundtrack to heaven?. This will be played by little fairies during your teleportation. But first you have to eat your greens and be a good boy!
Classical Sunday 2
I was subject to a complex tale of synchronicity this morning, when Caglar told me that he saw me in his dream listening to Dvořák which is a rare feat I do once in a few years. The thing is before going to sleep last night I was watching NY Philarmonics interpretation of Dvořák’s Nouveau Monde on Mezzo. Strange huh?.
Classical Sunday
Four classical music videos I found on the youtube. There used to be a classical music show on sundays hosted by the late Hikmet Simsek, Turkish conductor and composer. I don’t remember anyone liking the show when we were kids, but now everyone seems to be happy to have watched it in the first place.
In the Mailbox Mar 2009
Always late to write about the stuff that’s snowballing in our mailbox. Not much to write home about but managed to find some that’s worth your attention hopefully. Get in for Stonephace, Beware of Safety, Dejnarowicz and The Frost Heaves.
Astro Can Caravan
From Jimi Tenor to Alamaailman Vasarat, the Fins have a monopoly on bizarre music. I’ve always wondered the reason to their connection with Sun-Ra’s cosmic vibes resulting in the maddest alchemy of orchestral jazz, noise and progressive rock.
Classical Beauty & Romance
Valentine’s Special Mix of romantic pieces from Baroque period composers s.a Chopin, Albinoni, Mozart, Mendelssohn etc.
Jóhann Jóhannsson – Chimaerica
After going back to this song for three times during the day it became pretty obvious that the elegiac quality of Jóhannsson’s Chimaerica befits today’s gray weather and our loss in the Turkish FA Cup better than any other song. Off his fantastic Fordlândia album that has been mentioned before on undomondo.
