One of last year’s best kept secrets was Mancunian trumpeter Matthew Halsall’s sophomore album Colour Yes on Gondwana.

Our UK friend Jonathan Radford aka Diesler just hit us a few days ago with a sampler from his recent work. Here’s The Jazzinvaders remix of his track ‘Revelations‘ featuring the vocals of Laura Vane. Diesler is the brainchild of Jonathan Radford previously on Tru-Thoughts one of my fave nujazz/hiphop/urban music labels from Brighton UK. This young Brit convinced us with his groovy brasil tinged music for the last few years.

15 Battles – Mirrored (Warp Records) : Everybody’s been talking about “Mirrored” this year, and they kind of deserve it for getting their oddtimed dissonant music to find strange acclaim from mainstream circles as well as mathheads.
