Capillary Action
If you remember a few days ago I told that, “So Embarrassing” the second album by Philadelphia rock band Capillary Action deserves a bit more pondering. Anyone who frequents this blog knows that we love eclecticism as long as it’s used in the authentic form of the word, “drawing upon multiple theories, styles, or ideas”. Capillary Action has taken eclecticism further with barely a few musical neighbours.
Ahleuchatistas
Cuneiform never fails to impress us with a steady supply of brilliant albums. Here’s a new album, by the band that I still haven’t been able to pronounce correctly : Ahleuchatistas. The North Carolina power trio belongs to the increasing number of brilliant progressive math rock albums that I’ve been listening to this year, full of odd times, shifting rhythms, janglnig guitars and other extremities.
