Happy Day today!
Here’s a few happy (at least for me) songs to enjoy before I leave for the park. Forro in the Dark’s album is out on Ilhan Ersahin’s Nublu, a spectacular album rooted in Brasil but actually with much more to offer, featuring guests like Miho Hatori and David Byrne.
St. Patrick’s Day
I felt pretty sorry that I forgot to add a traditional instrumental Irish jig to today’s radioshow, because it’s St. Patrick’s Day today. I don’t quite remember days like these but I have always felt some connection with Ireland perhaps because of the green fields or the beer/fight/curse culture, so I decided to unload some traditional stuff today for St. Paddy’s Day
Forgot it!
How can I forget about one band I’ve thought of reviewing in the first place. This is 66e, who I’ve met via mp3hugger’s blog. They’re a post-rock band from Dublin (like God is an Astronaut) what is it with Ireland about postrock I dunno.
Indie / Instrumental Rock Special #1 – God is an Astronaut
With the lack of any nice electronica to post, and general return to more guitar music for me for the last week, I think I would post some nice rock music..
