The second compilation from Barcelona’s Lasal label formed after the beach & open-air bar of the same name (since 1993!) showcases a selection from high quality contemporary urban dance music that none of us with a sane mind can resist. A range of styles like urban soul, reggae, deep house, leftfield hiphop, broken beats, electronica are apparent.

Philadelphia’s King Britt (aka Sylk 130, Scuba) is 30 something right now, yet he’s still full of the energy he used to have in his youth. His eclectic taste in music and his genrebending productions and remixes had made him a major player in the Philly hip-hop, house and soul scenes since 1990’s and he’s worked with many of our favourite artists like Ursula Rucker, Rich Medina..

The first part is obviously the most influential and groundbreaking albums for me this year. In a way, they are the most complete and strangely addictive ones as an album and they are more musical in a sense.
