Arto Mwambe in Istanbul
This weekend we’ll be hosting Phillip Lauer & CB Funk collectively known with their African persona Arto Mwambe. Last year’s Resident Advisor set was amazing, tune in if you haven’t caught it already back then, and if you’re around Istanbul, make sure you drop by minimuzikhol, tonight or tomorrow.
FACT : 20 best Acid house
Ed DMX, sole member of Rephlex’s electro giant DMX Krew selects 20 of the best Acid House tunes for FACT Magazine. He’s such a knowledgeable guy when it comes to remembering dates, events and people; reading Acid House history from him is like listening to a WW2 veteran or something.
Shake Aletti : Recloose RMX
Yesterday I mentioned this on twitter, but in case you missed it Sheffield electro poppers Shake Aletti’s Digital Connection gets remixed by Recloose and both are available for free download as an act of generousity. Enjoy.
Friendly Fires & Arto Mwambé Remix
Although it didn’t find a place in our top 30 list Friendly Fires‘ self titled debut still remains among the higher points of last year’s indie dance party hype. Paris, one of the highlights on the album recently got the remix treatment, and our friend the Afro-Frankfurter Arto Mwambé got his hand dirty with it.

D-I-R-T-Y @ Istanbul
The provocative Parisien digital culture, art & music collective D-I-R-T-Y Sound System is coming to Istanbul. If you don’t know their web hub, which archives hundreds of videos, mixes & interviews and features from the who’s who of electronic music from Jamie Lidell to Dat Politics, from Nobukazu Takemura to I-F, excluding the banal of course!.
Zwicker / Bertrand Lajudie
Swiss artist Zwicker aka Tweak’s new 12″ “Sniff and Sneeze” has 3 tracks of urban house. I really don’t like the trendy electro-house genre but this isn’t your run-of-the-mill electro dancefloor burner, this has got some organic and deep discoish quality as well, no wonder it’s on Compost.
