The commencement of 2009 was barely worthwhile with a few 4 star LPs and slight disappointments from trusted artists. Animal Collective’s much hyped album is at most mediocre, if you aren’t preaching to the hipster choir, Alela Diane’s album is kind of bland after her brilliant sophomore and so is Tim Hecker’s. Here’s a quick recap of what to come in March and a best of selection of the first two months.

We went on a short vacation in the countryside this weekend, here’s 5 of the tunes that stuck most in my mind during hours of idle car time. The Bamboos cover Kings of Leon, Dom um Romao track found on Donnaslut. More Congos.

#65 is a joint production of me and error101, it was aired a few weeks ago but I’ve failed to upload it since then. Unfortunately I don’t have the tracklist with me right now, I’ll add it later on today, it’s our usual formula of dub, roots music, beat and hiphop but error101 was m.i.a for some time so make sure you check it out.

For this month Cenk Akyol’s skipped Classical & Modern and brewed a spooky mixture of abstract beats & hiphop with a pinch of dub and illbient.

After nearly a month’s break, here’s #64 of our show. It’s kind of a wrap up of the best of what I’ve been listening last week. Tried my best to put them into a narrative but don’t know if I’ve succeeded. One thing I’m 100% sure of is that all of them are top notch stuff!.

#27 begins with a the intro of a collaboration album between the legendary French pioneer Jean-Jacques Perrey and Luke Vibert who’ll also be quite legendary when he gets as old, we’ll be covering both artists next week. We start off electronic with a touch of dub by Dr. Israel and Horace Andy.

Here’s #14 of our show as I try to keep up. I had published a best of 2007 (kinda) list before but seems my fileden account has run out of bandwidth so I will move it to another place and republish it tomorrow, in the meantime enjoy this show selected by yours truly.

We have some moog covers by Jean-Jacques Perrey and later on The Moog Cookbook, cheerful Brasilian vibes from Nublu’s Forro in the Dark (which I’ll be featuring very soon), an interesting break where I played my favourite song from Terre Thaemlitz’ Lovebomb, which features the African National Congress’ declaration of war against the Apartheid regime played on top of The Plants’ textures and Krepulec’s martial piece.
