I really think there’s a correlation between the coolness of a band name and the coolness of the music they do.. I’ve been intrigued many times by the name of a band or person, and tried to find out if they sound as good as their name..

And most of the time, i’ve not been disappointed.

Yesterday I saw a band named
“Stop coming to my house Prom Queen” and I thought
“Hey why don’t I make a post about weird&cool band names”, and ended up doing this.
So feel free to comment if you wanna add some weird named and cool band/groups, in fact PLEASE do so. :)

Here is the first 10 randomly ordered..

stop coming to my house prom queen - (apparently it looks like 2 mogwai song names put together :) )

weight and measures is an instrumental rock band from ottawa

wevie stonder is a funny electronica band on SKAM/Schematic

cream abdul babar is an 8 piece hardcore/metal band (with a trombone player!)

a. silver mt. zion - you surely know about this postrock band, formed by some members of a yet another weird named post rock band godspeed you black emperor.

brothers of the occult sisterhood - the occult sisterhood?

my americas watching tigers die is a great newschool hardcore band, but what tigers???

deerhoof - deerhoof my love!

get cape, wear cape, fly - this one is an instant fav. I wonder if that line is from an original text adventure.. laptop based melodic electronica with vocals.

7 year rabbit cycle - noise rock from ex-deerhoof members ..
