Covers part 2
Here’s part 2 of our covers feature:
* Tiga - Hot in Herre : i had actually liked Nelly’s “country grammar” single when it was released back in ‘00. it was in ‘02 though when he got significantly recognized with his sophomore album, Nellyville and the moving single; “Hot in Herre”. People all over the world tend to display crazy pseudosexy dance moves when they hear the original

Another post by a newcomer who we hope to see on board with his selections from time to time. Tumel’s a music freak from Istanbul, who is mostly into electronic/indie stuff, but he has some classical music, kitsch 80’s pop, and techno under his belt too. Here’s his first post in 2 parts, which feature some cool covers he’s selected.
Bloc Party - The pioneers (Bloc party vs Mystery jets)
The only downside to this years brilliant Bloc Party debut album was that it was too generic, it was like all the indie rock groups you’ve heard before, albeit perfected. This little tune here got covered by the Mystery Jets and it has a great sloppy drum/percussion beat going on now, the vocals are slower and laid back, and the song is not indie rock anymore.
