From Baris K: Really sad to hear the death of Bahadir Akkuzu today. Besides his role in Baris Manco’s Kurtalan Ekspres on guitar since ‘78, he was a “sevilen abi figure” in the Turkish rock scene. Rest in Peace.

Well, the second Anatolian Pop Night in Istanbul is about to take place on Wednesday. The debut concert with Derdiyoklar was extremely well received and I hope/think it will be no less for Osman İşmen and his Orchestra. He’s an acclaimed composer of old Turkish movie soundtracks and has also been an arranger for better known Turkish music personalities.
