The title “Tents and Hills” sums it all up perfectly, peacefuly bright sounds, the smell of woods and the sunshine in your eyes. One of last year’s gems was Polish composer Jacaszek’s Treny which painted hauntingly cinematic B&W soundscapes with the help of cohorts Maja Sieminska, Anja Smiszek-Wesolowska and Stefan Wesolowski. With his new release Pentral he’s set to describe the interior of a gothic church by means of sounds. A hefty project!

Debut EP from Finnish composer Bird from the Abyss is one of the most sinister & unholy ritual music you’ll be hearing these days. It’s released for free on archive.org but you can also buy a limited CDR from him for 5 bucks.
