Anapop vol 2: Osman Işmen Orkestrası
Well, the second Anatolian Pop Night in Istanbul is about to take place on Wednesday. The debut concert with Derdiyoklar was extremely well received and I hope/think it will be no less for Osman İşmen and his Orchestra. He’s an acclaimed composer of old Turkish movie soundtracks and has also been an arranger for better known Turkish music personalities.
Undomondo Radio Show #54
Coincident with this week’s neosoul/hiphop vibes here’s a mix with jazz + neosoul + nu school hiphop + funk + afrobeat + disco elements. One highlight is Mor Thiam’s `Ayo Ayo Nene` which was recently included in a compilation called Spiritual Jazz, but thanks to a comment by our avid reader Henri, a rip of the original vinyl release can be found on El Reza.
The Souljazz Orchestra
Today’s story is about Ottawa’s groovy Souljazz Orchestra. Now we all know Ottawa is the capital of Canada, and Canada’s primary export is multiculturalism. I’m just kidding!. The Turkish education system never teaches you cool stuff like this, I learnt this by myself on the internet.
Undomondo Radio Show #25
#25: is the second show we’ve done with Cleansweep. In fact it’s the same session cut in two. If you remember #23 it’s just like that, roots dub, jazz, funk, nu jazz, beat, afrobeat selected by Can Ayverdi and yours truly. BTW

Cleaning up part 1
Here’s a mixed selection of single tracks I have failed to mention in the past months, some have been played on the radioshows as well. First is a trio rendition of Sergio Mendez’ classic Mas Que Nada by the European Jazz Trio.
