90s
Porn Sword Tobacco
The one artist that I want to steal his name, Gothenburg’s Henrik Jonsson aka Porn Sword Tobacco has relocated to Berlin, before releasing his 4th album on City Centre Offices. It’s the beauty of being a member of the EU, you can relocate as much as you want, add flavours to your life, or why not start a completely new life?
Trans Am
Thrill Jockey mammoth Trans Am has a new album out named “Sex Change”. Arguably one of the most prominent bands of the 90s alongside Tortoise and Labradford, their new album is interestingly radiofriendly somewhat opposed to their eclectic musical tastes. Frankly I’ve never been a huge fan of synth + rock, or new wave, or the arena electronic aesthetic of MTV’s pop acts, but this album caught me totally offguard.
Karl Lagerfeld compilation
So this could be old news for some of you, as Style IT has covered it before, but for the ones who haven’t heard Karl Lagerfeld, the fashion mogul has compiled a 2CD downtempo series and surprisingly it’s good.
Sebadoh – III
Hey, look what we have here.. I think I’ve postponed this a little bit too much, because it’s been nearly a month since this remastered release of one of lo-fi indie rock’s defining bands hit the stores, and this is one of the most important albums of the 90s lo-fi heritage so it definitely needs the respect!.
