Resting Bell
Resting Bell is a niche label that focuses on ambient soundscapes, drones and experimental music. If field recordings, shining drones, ambience, guitar processing, wall of noise and glitches are your thing you’d be happy to mooch off the back catalogue

Space, why must we wait, why not now 2
And then, the Earth being small, mankind will migrate into space, and will cross the airless Saharas which separate planet from planet and sun from sun. Sick Room
Checked through Sick Room’s audio page chock full of goodies from the 50+ albums in their back catalogue which spans across math/noise/indie rock and pop. This Chicago label who’s released Sleepytime Gorilla Museum & Cheval de Frise and Hella in the past surely deserves more love for their future projects.
A quick journey thru Last.fm
Had a stroll through last.fm yesterday, the recommendation engine has really been perfected. You can turn on an artist radio and listen to highly relevant music for a long time (changed channels frequently so I don’t know for how long). Here are some free downloadable/streamable music I discovered but forgot to post yesterday. Somefield
Space, why must we wait, why not now?
“The eternal wonders of space and time, the faraway dreams and mysteries of other worlds, other life, the stars, the planets. Man has been face to face with them for centuries, it is barely able to penetrate the unknown secrets. Sometime, someday the barrier will be pierced, why must we wait why not now?”

Some indie/noise rock goodies to accompany your reading.
The members of the firms who were surprised by this announcement had no time to deliberate. The bear clique was already selling the market down in the Exchange, and prices were declining frightfully. New York and the Panic of 1873
