Kadohadacho
Our generous friend Ernesto Gonzales from Exponential Music tipped us about their annual freebie compilation for SXSW a few days ago, incl. but not limited to The Heliotronics, Jahcoozi’s Robot Koch, James Pants, Sutekh, Deceptikon, Mochipet, Shlohmo and Ernesto himself.
Tirk Recordings
Fresh tracks from the second compilation of UK based Nudisco label TIRK including remixes and tracks from Chaz Jankel, Prins Thomas, Hercules & Love Affair, Todd Terje, Toby Tobias, Pete Herbert, Ecce and more..
Error Broadcast
Yesterday @tokafi mentioned two of our favourite netlabels Zymogen and 12Rec has founded a new label called Error Broadcast and they’ve released their first label compilation called Bag of Nothingness that spans across 17 songs of abstract, instrumental hip-hop.
Various : The Box
Got a message from artist Thiaz Itchколи под наем a few days ago that he’s on a 3CD free download compilation on Peppermill Records together with other stalwarts of the electronic & netlabel scenes : Vernon Lenoir, Gangpol und Mit, Jason Forrest, Karl Blau and Satanicpornocultshop among others.
Bad Painting – Good Art
MUMOK curators have created an official free download compilation to accompany the exhibition. I’ve sacrificed myself to stroll through the compilation which as you can anticipate has some abysmal music alongside some interesting ones. Here are my 3 picks, you can check the rest for yourself if you have the guts!
Mutant Disco Vol. 3 – Garage Sale
Finally got the 3rd installment in ZE Records series Mutant Disco. The first two of the series are spectacular and feature a lot of the regulars in the ZE catalog. This album is no different but there are quite a few surprises. The “Garage Sale” in the title gives a nod to Larry Levan’s legendary club “Paradise Garage”. Much of the songs have a more clubby feel to them than the previous albums.

Karl Lagerfeld compilation
So this could be old news for some of you, as Style IT has covered it before, but for the ones who haven’t heard Karl Lagerfeld, the fashion mogul has compiled a 2CD downtempo series and surprisingly it’s good.
Halloween post
Today’s post is a more in depth review of Oddio Overplay’s new Halloween post, that’s been tipped by Oddio themselves in the comments of the previous compilation, I listened through all of the stuff and picked up my favourites, if you’re interested in bizarre music, eerie soundscapes, or offkilter rock, with funny vocal snippets, laughters and ghouls, I suggest you download the whole pack here.
