Hi all, as you might have deduced from the number of selections vs individual reviews and one paragraph posts, I’m quite busy in real life with the last touches to my MA thesis. I’ll be making two more selections today and tomorrow from recent releases, mostly indie and electronic pop music. Then hopefully I’ll be away to chill for three days with no internet.

Today we have a Leonard Cohen cover coming from a surprising artist, techno DJ Misstress Barbara’s latest album “I’m no Human“, title track from Norwegian indiejazz singer Hanne Hukkelberg’s “Blood from a Stone”, opener to Robin Rimbaud aka Scanner’s “Rockets unto the Edges“, touted by our friend Cenk Akyol as one of the best albums he’s heard this year and the title track to the selection “West End Girls” from electro dance punk sensations We Have Band.
