A five song compilation made from 5 star material from my itunes.

+ Starts of with The Alps a side project of Tarantel’s Jefre Cantu-Ledesma’s with two gents Scott Hewicker and Alexis Georgopoulos. Off their brilliant psychedelic/ krautrock/ drone LP called A Path Through the Moon. What a combination!

+ Next up is the French Zeuhl/Prog band Eskaton with 83’s Fiction. It’s a hell of an LP but this tune is a special one with dem vocals.

+ Bibio is the self-taught UK folktronica artist Stephen Wilkinson who delievered Vignetting The Compost on Mush Records this year.

+ Next song is off Finnish guitarist Keijo Virtanen’s Hetki album. Finnish psych blues once again in his idiosyncratic playing, like his own band Rhythm Kingz of Bushel Finland, Lau Nau, Fursaxa albeit a tad inaccessible and desolate, this song shines through as the more coherent and listenable ones with a great riff. Out on Lattajjaa.

+ The closer is once again from a UK band, Reigns‘ 2009 album, The House on the Causeway on Monotreme Records from where you can catch the latest info on the April European tour.
