Austin, Texas’ natives Balmorhea will be releasing a new album right after last year’s highly successful Rivers Arms. The six piece modern day chamber orchestra is well known for their own brand of instrumental post rock without the rock. Balmorhea’s emotive soundscapes would appeal to the fans of Max Richter and Goldmund (labelmates on Western Vinyl), who want more layers and energy to their music while retaining the tender side of their colleagues.
