Those nice folks at Nicepromo has sent undomondo a new split LP by Russian soundscape artist Alexey Devyanin aka Gultskra Artikler and Leeds drone outfit Lanterns. Originally from Novosibirsk, Devyanin mixes drony/noisy winter soundscapes with electronic and folk elements. Aptly termed “Neo-folk cyber-psychedelia”, I’ve been fond of his blent of field recordings and ambient soundscapes for a long time. 5 pieces overall on this split out on Other Electricities. I’ve found a few free download Gulstra Artikler pieces on last.fm as well.
