Selection off the MP3s emailed to us by artists/labels & promotion companies we got sent this month.

  • Cof Cof – Caribbean Boy
  • Cof Cof – Forbidden Cocktail
  • Spaniards Cof Cof with their catchy lo-fi twee pop.

  • Tupolev – Reaset
  • Mödling’s Tupolev has a gloomy sound, reminding me of Bohren & Der Club of Gore, Triosk and Tied and Tickled Trio, jazz meets post-rock and ambience.

  • Monsieur Meuble – I like your girlfriend
  • Frenchman Meuble presents his sample based electronica, inspired by Raymond Scott et al. Lovely song.

  • Pet Ghost Project – Age of Automatics
  • Third album from Brooklyn singer-songwriter Justin Stevers. Mature indierock with complex
arrangements and fuzzy guitars a la 90’s US noise rock. I wonder why he is barely listened on last.fm, too complex for the masses? Myspace

  • The Lodger – The Good Old Days
  • Catchy UK guitar pop on Slumberland Records. Myspace

  • The Hood Internet – Watch my big feet jump
  • Mash-up kings The Hood Internet give us a singalong track.

  • The Crystal Sun – Not all those that wander are lost (Dsico Remix)
  • Synth based Nudisco from Australia’s Dsico, he’s also released his Touch Me (Not Like That) album as (free download).

  • Steinski – Lesson 2 (James Brown Mix)
  • off the Steinski retrospective on Illegal Art.
