		<description>well, I love Les Baxter as well, but I didn&#039;t know &quot;Quiet Village&quot; was originally his, another man to look for is Sonny Lester, not quite the tiki-exotica but quite an interesting artist. Thanks for the comment! </description>

		<description>Although Martin Denny hit it big with &quot;Quiet Village&quot; and Exotica, no one really credits Les Baxter (who wrote &quot;Quiet Village&quot; in 1951) with starting off Exotica. Everyone seems to think Denny set it off, and although he is great few realize that Baxter did a lot of pioneering (Aphex Twin called him a &quot;Right Weirdo&quot;).  Thanks for posting the tracks! </description>
