Summer Soul : James Pants / Muhsinah & Others

We’re having some technical problems with the site that’s why we’re experiencing some short downtimes. Anyways before I jet out here’s the last post to end the summer soul series. Here are some more names to check out on the soulful side. First track is off UK leftfield R&B soul artist Muhsinah’s debut “Day Break 2.0″, mysterious Californian composer Clutchy Hopkins who has previously worked with another secretive artist MF Doom. Next up is James Pants on Stones Throw, with some dirty electro beats. Two artists that BBE has kindly supplied promos of are UK sensation Aaron Jerome who’s remixed DJ Vadim and Mood Therapy with “Time to Rearrange”. I’m covering this up a tad late, yet it’s a wonderful album especially this track with Bajka. The second one is off Kon and Amir’s mix Off Track compilation, mixing world music with funky stuff / disco and what not, features very rare gems, that frankly I haven’t heard of before. And last but not least is another track send to us by the kind folks from Exponential, a Rae Davis remix of Flying Lotus himself.
It’s a quick post, because I”m running out of time, but I’m gonna add more infos and links when I have the time. Till then just enjoy!
Muhsinah - Discovery
Clutchy Hopkins - Percy on the One
James Pants - We’re through
Aaron Jerome - Way of Life feat. Bajka
Phillip and Lloyd - Keep on Moving
Flying Lotus - Tea Leaf Dancers (Rae Davis Remix)
