What the mailbox brought in Summer 3
Goodbye the Band - The Goo of Childhood
Goodbye the Band is an electronics-infused epic pop-rock band in the vein of Fiery Furnaces, Stereolab, Magnetic Fields and Of Montreal. The band is the brainchild of John Acquadro, you can download the free EP from Archive.org. Highly recommended.

Those goofballs at Afuche
Afuche - Gaspar Noe
Brooklyn’s Afuche has taken eclecticity (is there even a word like this?) to another level. Childlike melodies and everchanging rhythms reminded me once again why I loved Deerhoof in the first place. I wish they get more attention with their self released “Carajo Is Worse Than Hell” because frankly they deserve it.
The Phantom Family Halo - Black River
The Phantom Family Halo is an indie supergroup formed by members of The For Carnation, Slint, Dead Child. Not that I knew any of these bands. Although their kind of experimental, repetetive psychedelia speaks for itself. They’ve also toured USA with my stoner/psychedelic heroes Dead Meadow in the summer.
Sleeping in the Aviary - Pop SongSleeping in the Aviary took me back to my teenage days of power-pop-
punk, (glad it didn’t last much) Not much to say either you like it or you don’t.
Negativland - Christianity Is Stupidand finally just how much ass Negativland kicks I truly don’t know.
