Vikter Duplaix by Ouxu

Philly soul boss Vikter Duplaix has released his second studio album Bold and Beautiful on UK’s Barely Breaking Even also home to Roy Ayers, Will I Am, Osunlade, J Dilla. He’s worked and studied with artists such as Teddy Pendergrass, the late Luciano Pavarotti, King Britt, Kenny Gamble, Jazzanova, Clara Hill and more and he’s also released for K7’s prestigious DJ Kicks series. Slow & deep and sexy his music is the epitome of urban slowjam.

Taking from R&B and soul but revamping it in such a way that critics promptly label neo-soul despite his dislike ( although I haven’t seen any artist who likes the genre tag given to them by critics anyways) . This is some dope jazzy slowjam album which brings images of black businesswoman coming home from a hard day’s work to her skyscraper loft in Manhattan to have some sweet lovin’ time between satin sheets. Urban life! YAY!Read an interview with Vikter Duplaix.
