Cleanup part 2

You have to remember Andrew & Emiko’s rendition of the traditional Japanese song Otemoyan. Well guess what, I’ve found the lyrics and an instrumental 70’s sax version of it from the by Teruo Yoda, which has been on repeat since that day.

The French collective Sayag Jazz Machine has a jazz laden breakbeat album featuring some French MCs as well as Busdriver. Pretty cool album I should say, but unfortunately barely visible on the mp3blogs. More info on niz’s site. Next up is a Sun Ra classic, called “nuclear war” (but he pronounces it as nucular!) that I’ve already played on radioshow #16. It came to our attention through Madlib’s latest compilation The Other Side Los Angeles, which has lots of HTF gems including among others the Outlaw Blues Band’s original to Cypress Hill’s “When the shit goes down“.

The last track by Pull Tiger Tail is a testimony to my teenage days and 90’s pop punk acts like “Face to Face“, please don’t judge me harshly!

Teruo Yoda & The 6 Lemons – Otemoyan
A & E – Otemoyan
Sayag Jazz Machine – Slalom
Sun Ra Arkestra – Nuclear War
Pull Tiger Tail – Let’s Lightning
