Here’s a mixed selection of single tracks I have failed to mention in the past months, some have been played on the radioshows as well. First is a trio rendition of Sergio Mendez’ classic Mas Que Nada by the European Jazz Trio. Highly expressive silky piano work there. The second track is an afrobeat piece with horns, by 11 piece Finnish orchestra Rhythm Funk Masters which dispels the “white men can’t funk” myth.

Third track is off Vanessa Da Mata’s new album Sim, an original feel good neo-brasillian pop composition by Da Mata. The last two tracks are roots dub & ska from the 1970’s. Bullwackies all Stars‘, “Free for All” got re-released this year and tracks can be bought from Clickgroove and “Cash Box” is an uptempo authentic ska piece from Jamaican ska pioneer Byron Lee and his well known band The Dragonaires.
