I won’t deny that I don’t know many of the names here (which is a good thing), yet the ones I know like Hamid Drake, Henri Texier, Myra Melford etc. guarantee me that I should keep coming back. Add some mp3s mate!
* One of our avid readers/commenters Henri (yeah seriously we’ve got a handful of those!) has started a new blog called Pataphysical Angst, which has some lovely African Music, give him a warm welcome to the blogosphere.
* The Putz Factory has an Architecture in Helsinki track remixed by one of my favourite radical artists DJ/Rupture. Here’s his blog which I’ll be definitely reading and adding to our linklog. Check out his new split mix EP with Filastine.
* Once again one of my favourite new blogs Audiversity beats me on all the releases I wanna mention with in depth reviews that put ours to shame. Great reviews of new stuff from 65daysofstatic, Mikhael, The North Sea, Lichens and more, check them out if you’re into drone/freejazz/ambient/experimental stuff.
* PrognotFrog one of the biggest progressive/jazz sharity blogs has some rare retro stuff online like 70’s Romanian Prog, Polish Chamber Music and more of the avant/prog/jazz stuff that you won’t be finding anywhere else. Check out The Turkish Psychedelic Rock pioneer Erkin Koray’s debut LP from 1969.
