Indie Saturday

Here’s two songs I’ve uploaded on fileden a few weeks before but forgot to feature.

Taking it’s name from the Chinese dragon of the same name in the Marvel Universe, Fin Fang Foom is an instrumental/math-rock band from the US. This tune’s off their Native Tongue EP on stiffslack with lovely cello parts. Moody & melodic stuff on a bleak Saturday, get it if you’re into Paul Newman (the band of course)

The second song is a totally awesome cover of Sade’s Feel no Pain by Chicago trio Pit er Pat, that’s off of their tour CDR (Thanks internet!). Even a dedicated soul/disco head like Can Ayverdi has admitted that the vocals are up to par with Sade and the arrangement is terrific. Just check out if they’re coming around you soon and get this 3 track tourcd from them, also I heard they’re great live.
