Good news for the netlabelheads! Here’s a 2 day netlabel only festival in Rotefabrik, Switzerland. Including minimalist Andrey Kiritchenko, Micromusic from Switzerland, Headphone Science from the US and more, I guess this kind of events would most definitely help netlabels establish themselves as music providers to bigger audiences. I’ve made a few selections from the roster and I hope to do an extensive netlabel coverage for October/November soon.

Also in the news is a Birmingham event you should not miss. It’s the record release party of our friend Sid Peacock’s new ensemble Squint. I haven’t listened to any tracks from it yet but I’m sure it will be unique and playful. So be there and report back!
