Avant Saturday

* The second release of Musica Excentrica is an 80-minutes deep journey into the drony/micro sound of Philip Samartzis, also Mego / Erstwhile experimental guitar player/noise maker Kevin Drumm has a song on a 3 piece EP on Excentrica 03.

Recently called “America’s greatest living composer” by The Village Voice, you can download 13 of his well-known minimalist pieces performed by different ensembles, also via The Rambler and Avant Music News, is an astonishing BBC interview with the eccentric and revolutionary composer Karlheinz Stockheisen on youtube.

* OCP (Operador de Cabine Polivalente) an ongoing sound project by João Ricardo, a portuguese born world citizen on one of my favourite netlabels Test Tube. It’s a 55 minute long electronic journey which has ambient, noise and glitch parts and beat sequences.
