One of my favourite compilations by one of the genre defining labels from Berlin, Superlongevity by Perlon has it’s 4th installment released. If you’ve ever listened to minimal techno/house built on glitch & clicks, Perlon was one of the first labels to define that sound. Led by Zip aka Dimbiman, Perlon’s back catalogue is a who’s who of german electronics scene featuring releases by Markus Nikolai, Pantytec, Ricardo Villalobos, Soulphiction and more. This time I’ve chosen 2 tracks one by the Swiss artist Kalabrese, and other a joint production by Zip and Baby Ford. Everyone’s doing this stuff recently, but they never capture the humour & fun of the Perlon way, and they seem to be constantly redefining their sound.
