Janine Rostron aka Berlin’s Planningtorock is a wacko. Obsessed with reflections in her videos, she’s being dubbed the artsy Janis Joplin, but she sounds more like the little child of Matthew Herbert and Kevy B. She’s one hell of a creative lady with a new album on Chicks on Speed Records under her belt and she’s never afraid to take the songs on this album to new wacky heights. “Have it all” is very hard to categorize, electropopish songs with a DIY approach, absurd lyrics, sometimes Detroit Techno-ish strings, and a general baroque opera feeling like I got from the this years Final Fantasy album, no song sounds like another on this album and Ms. Rostron is no doubt a most original songwriter.
