Back in a 30+ degree hot Istanbul after a 10 day trip in Germany and Netherlands, it’s burning hot outside and I’m losing energy by the hour, so let me post some electro for you while I still can.

Naked Ape’s “For the sake of the Naked Ape” has been released on Sweden’s Lobotom Records in June. A successful follow up to their debut on 2004, For the sake of the Naked Ape has all of the 80’s electro elements like robots, apes, vocoders, zombies, analog synths and what not but unlike their hard and noisy colleagues from UK and Netherlands, they are not very lo-fi and on some tracks they have a well-produced electropop sound. You can listen to excerpts from all tracks on their label page.

I’ve also added one of my all time favourite electro classics, Formenverwandler by the legendary Der Zyklus (aka Dopplereffekt and Arpanet among possible others). This is from the recent release on Frustrated Funk but the original track appeared on 2001’s Der Zyklus II release on Gigolo. I’m shapeshifting from place to place/bending time/curving space.
