What the mailbox brought..

Chosen from incoming submissions to undomondo recently.

The first one you should get is Passage by Liberation Prophecy. A chaotic orchestra of 9 musicians led by Jacob Duncan. Lots of orchestration beautiful vocals by Amber Estes who replaced the now forld famous Norah Jones. Many influences can be listed like Zappa’s orchestra, free jazz, world music and 50s vocals. Do check their new LP “Last Exit Angel” which is gonna be out next month, on their myspace page that says “Where Mingus asks Henry Miller to arm wrestle.”

The Shondes on the other hand are a transgender rock quartet playing driving rock music with classical/feminist punk influences, and layered harmonies. It has the kickass strings & indie combo and although the music may be a bit more polished and well-produced, it’s a decent effort.

Archie Bronson Outfit is Domino’s latest find and it’s been pounded on by mp3blogs in the last days. I know you’d think it’s because of the PR and I agree but it’s a song that grows on you after a few listens, and it’s driving dirty Southern Rock/Blues by a band from UK, how about that?

Archie Bronson Outfit – Dart for my Sweetheart
The Shondes – Your Monster
The Shondes – I watched the temple fall
Liberation Prophecy – Passage
