Everybody is making music now
Let’s listen to some

Stonefridge or Fridgehenge? you decide.
Micusnule. 4 piece band from France led by Mr. Christophe Micusnule himself who plays ukulele and guitars. This is hyperactive electronic pop music with orchestral elements in songs. Silly melodies abound, kinda like the early DAT Politics albums
Nadaist is a female R&B, downtempo duo from Istanbul. It’s surprising how they are not signed yet as this is pretty original stuff from Turkey in recent years. A clear example of how Turkish can fit western music when it’s well thought out.
Caminante Recordings is a small NY noise/dub label. Their recent release is by Electric Masada contributer and fave keys player Jamie Saft vs the legendary Merzbow. Well, hoping for some free samples to check out really..
Peeping Tom is the latest project of Mike Patton on Ipecac. featuring names like Dan the Automator, Bebel Gilberto, Norah Jones, Kool Keith, Rahzel, Amon Tobin, Odd Nosdam and more, this is an intriguing release, that I hope to feature soon.
Exhausted Animals Orchestra is a Turkish bedroom musician, who does experimental lo-fi stuff. Personal songs, with a funny and laidback approach, worth the listen.
Exhausted Animals Orchestra - Where is their mentor
Them Shepherds. Gritty synths, shuffle rhythms and rock music, my friend just said that it sounds like Rammstein and Herb Alpert crossed, I don’t know if that makes sense.
They came from the stars, I saw them. With a name like this you’re instantly connoting that this music has got something to do with space, and indeed it has so many different influences from jazz to rock beyond the spacey reverbed sound. Ok, if you want a cliche, how about Mr.Bungle from outer space?

Rashanim is a Jewish power trio from NYC, fusing rock and jazz together with Jewish music. The Bassist Shanir Ezra Blumenkranz played the bass on John Zorn’s Filmworks XVIII and they have released the Rashanim plays Masada Rock album on Tzadik back in 2005. Check out the first 2 songs on myspace.
